Is OmniHuman 2 Free? What You Can Do Before You Pay

People search for “OmniHuman 2 free” because rendering AI video is not cheap, and nobody wants to pay before knowing the result will be good. The honest answer: uploading, checking and preparing your project is free here, but generating the final video uses paid credits, because every second of output costs real GPU time on the model provider’s side.

Below we break down what is free, what is paid, how much a typical clip costs and how to get the most out of your first render. No hidden free tier with watermarks, no surprise charges — just the details.

What is OmniHuman 2 free to use for here

You can open the studio, add a portrait, upload or record a voice, write a direction prompt and let us check everything — face visibility, image dimensions, audio length and format — without paying or even creating an account. You will see exactly how many seconds your video will be and how many credits it needs before any payment step appears.

Signing in with Google is also free. It saves your project to your account so you can come back to it later from any device.

  • Free: uploading, recording, validation, project preview, saving your project.
  • Paid: the actual OmniHuman 2.0 render and the downloadable MP4.

Why there is no unlimited free plan

Each render runs the full OmniHuman 2.0 model on dedicated hardware, billed to us per second of video. A free unlimited tier would either be heavily throttled, watermarked or quietly downgraded to a weaker model. We chose transparent pricing instead: you know the per-second cost, you get the full model and your downloads carry no watermark.

Be careful with sites promising unlimited free OmniHuman videos. They often run a different, cheaper model, cap output at a few seconds, or ask for card details anyway.

What a render actually costs

Rendering uses credits: 10 credits per second of video, with a 4-second minimum. The Pro plan costs $19.99 per week and includes 1,200 credits — enough for about two minutes of video each week. The yearly Pro plan costs $119.99 and refills 1,200 credits every month, which works out to roughly $2.31 per week.

A 15-second talking-head ad therefore uses 150 credits; a one-minute explainer uses 600. Credits reset at the start of each period, and if a render fails on our side the credits go straight back to your balance.

Get your first paid render right

Since the preview is free, use it to remove the usual causes of a disappointing first video.

  1. 1Start shortTrim your audio to 5–10 seconds for the first test. It costs 50–100 credits and tells you whether the photo works.
  2. 2Use a clean facePick an image with even light and nothing covering the mouth. Sunglasses and heavy shadows hurt lip sync.
  3. 3Record dry audioSpeak close to the mic without background music. You can always add music in your editor afterwards.
  4. 4Keep the prompt simpleOne or two motions, one camera move. Add detail only after you like the base result.

How the cost compares to filming

The usual alternative to an AI render is booking a creator or a studio session, which involves fees, travel, retakes and editing time before a single usable clip exists. With a plan, the marginal cost of one more 15-second video is 150 credits and a few minutes of waiting, which is why teams that publish weekly tend to come out ahead even without any free tier.

If you only need one video ever, a one-week Pro subscription and an immediate cancellation is the cheapest legitimate route: your plan stays active until the week ends, and nothing renews.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancellation is self-serve from the dashboard through Stripe’s billing portal. If you subscribed by mistake and haven’t used any credits, our refund policy allows a full refund within seven days of the first payment.

FAQ

Is there a free trial of OmniHuman 2?

There is no free render, but everything up to the render is free: upload, recording, validation and project preview. You see the exact cost before paying.

Do free videos have a watermark?

There are no free videos to watermark. Every paid render downloads as a clean MP4 without a watermark.

Can I cancel after one week?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the week you paid for.

What happens to unused credits?

They reset at the start of the next credit period — weekly on the weekly plan, monthly on the yearly plan.

Do I get credits back if a render fails?

Yes. If the render fails on our side, the reserved credits are returned automatically.

Is there a cheaper option for long videos?

The yearly plan has the lowest weekly price. If you regularly need more than two minutes a week, your dashboard offers a bigger plan.

Do I need a credit card to try the preview?

No. Uploading, recording and previewing need no card and no account; payment only appears when you choose to render.

Is the yearly plan worth it?

If you expect to publish for more than a couple of months, yes: it costs about $2.31 per week and refills 1,200 credits every month.
